01Investment approach

Four
principles

How we pick, hold and structure every investment.

02How we invest

Four principles.
One discipline.

Pick the company. Check the sector. Hold for one to three years.

The New York Stock Exchange, its columns hung with flags.
01
1–3 years

Long-only, one to three years

No day trading, no options. We buy and hold.

Price charts across several screens on a trading desk.
02
Bottom-up · top-down

Fundamentals, then sector health

We start with the company, then check its sector before we buy.

03
Three sectors

Concentrated in three sectors

Technology and AI, Healthcare AI, and Renewables and Energy.

04
Risk-adaptive

Risk-adaptive sizing

We take more risk only once the first year’s returns are in.

03Structure

One route,
four stops.

Drag the globe to follow your money from India to New York.

  1. 01 · BengaluruInvestors

Investors subscribe in rupees, within LRS and OPI limits.

  2. 02 · GIFT CityFeeder fund

IFSCA Category III AIF on the Artha Bharat platform. Rupees become dollars here.

  3. 03 · MauritiusMaster fund

Tax arises at fund level, not on each trade.

  4. 04 · New YorkGlobal portfolio

About 80% US listed equities, 20% private.

04Why a fund

A fund, not
a brokerage account.

Hold US shares directly and every sale is taxed and every switch costs a currency conversion. Through the fund, tax arises at fund level and currency is converted once each way. A worked example follows.

Illustrative scenario · $250,000 · two routes

Same trades.
Different outcome.

  4. 04October 2028 · Exxon sold, up 25%
  5. 05Settled

$250,000 goes in at ₹95 — ₹2.375 crore on both sides. Same capital, same conviction, two different routes.

Illustrative only. Buy Alphabet (GOOGL) 12 October 2026, rotate into Exxon (XOM) 12 October 2027, exit 13 October 2028; both legs gain 25%. USD/INR ₹95 → ₹99.75 → ₹104.74, a 5% annual fall in the rupee. Assumes 1% per currency conversion and no fees. Short-term gains taxed at 35.88% (₹1–2 crore of income); long-term at 12.5% before surcharge and cess. The investor’s taxable event arises on redemption of units, not on each underlying trade. Named securities are illustrative, not a recommendation or a holding. Not tax advice — fund-level position to be confirmed with PwC.
